Q1. How do I get our products into the 3D Room Planner?

The 3D Room Planner relies on 3D models to be created of your products (sometimes referred to as 'Digital Twins'). These models are digital replicas of your products, which are then populated in the Room Planner to be selected and placed into the room.

Q2. Can I use the 3D Bathroom Planner if I don't have 3D models of my products?

The 3D Bathroom Planner requires 3D models in order to create the necessary 3D experience. If you don't already have 3D models then customers use Fixtuur's 3D Studio, where our highly experienced CGI artists create the models for you during the implementation to your website. In instances where we already have models for certain ranges, this is identified and helps to save costs on model creation.

Q3. We have 3D models already. Can we use them in the 3D Bathroom Planner?

In most cases yes, however it depends on the quality and compatibility of the models. The best thing to do is to share a few examples of existing models with us and we’ll do checks to ensure they’ll provide the right level of quality in the planner. If optimization is required, we will notify you.

Q4. How soon can the Room Planner be live on our website?

We aim to get all clients up and running as soon as we can, but there are factors that determine how long the implementation will take. Providing you have 3D models of your products ready to go, we can get the software live on the website within 4-6 weeks. If models need creating upfront, then that will need some time in the studio first. That length of time depends on the volume of SKUs and variations.

Q5. How much work does our IT/dev team need to do to implement the 3D Room Planner?

There really is not a lot of work for your website development team or agency to do when implementing the 3D Room Planner. Set up on your side should take no more than 30 minutes once we've completed our part. If your website is not managed in-house, we have extensive experience working with third-party agencies to ensure smooth collaboration and implementation.

Q6. How many products can we put into the 3D Room Planner?

The 3D Room Planner has no real limits to the number of products you can add into the catalogue. We do however recommend starting with your best sellers and then adding additional SKUs from there but the choice is entirely yours.

Q7. Is the Room Planner just an online tool or can we use it in-store too?

As much as the 3D Room Planner is a powerful tool for increasing online sales, it is also used in-store by staff, either on desktop or tablet devices, to provide a fast, easy and shareable design service in store too. The platform has an optional 'Send to Store' capability which can be configured so designs, material lists and costs are also sent to stores or showrooms with a requested appointment date, time and location too.

Q8. Do customers need to install an app to use the 3D Room Planner?

No, the 3D Room Planner is 100% web based - no apps or downloads required. In fact, all of our tools from Visual Content to AR and 3D Configurators will work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices without any need to install an app or additional service.

Q9. Is the 3D Room Planner for retailers or manufacturers?

Our customers cross retailers, brands AND manufacturers - all leveraging the Room Planner for the same purpose of generating more sales and representing products in the best possible way. Manufacturers will either add the Room Planner to their own website, or invest in getting their products into the Room Planner for their retail partners to leverage in their own planners and PDPs.

Q10. How much does the 3D Room Planner cost?

There are a few dimensions to the cost of implementing the 3D Room Planner. Volume of SKUs, model creation, software subscription and your website traffic all can have implications on the price. It's therefore hard to provide a solid answer to you without understanding these variables upfront. However, starting subscription costs are from as little as £1,000/$1,000 per month.

Q11. Is the 3D Room Planner only for Bathrooms?

No. The Room Planner can be used for any type of room design, although it tends to be most popular for helping consumers to visualise home improvement projects like new bathrooms and kitchens, where they are extensive.
